Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Projectport (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our platform. Projectport is operated by Goran Aleksic, an individual, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. We aim to handle data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable privacy laws, wherever our users are based.
1. The data we collect
Account data
When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form), your role (developer or advisor), and any company or profile details you choose to add.
Content you add
We store the content you put into the Service: projects, units, prices, payment plans, documents, images, branding, proposals, and the notes and commentary you write. This may include personal data if you choose to include it, for example a client’s name on a proposal.
Engagement and usage data
When someone opens a link you shared, we record how the shared content is used, for example which projects, units, amenities, or documents were viewed and for how long. This activity is tied to a randomly generated visit identifier, not to a named person. We do not collect the visitor’s name, email, or precise location through these links, and we do not store their IP address or device fingerprint for this purpose. If the person who shared the link has labelled it with a recipient’s name, that label, which they provided, is what connects the activity to a person.
Technical data
Like most online services, our infrastructure providers process basic technical information needed to deliver and secure the Service, such as request logs. We use a small number of cookies, described in Section 4.
Communications
If you contact us, we keep your messages and our replies so we can help you and keep a record.
2. How we use data and our legal bases
Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- To provide the Service (contract). Creating and running your account, storing your content, generating proposals, and showing engagement insight to the people entitled to see it.
- To improve and secure the Service (legitimate interests). Keeping the Service reliable and safe, preventing abuse, and understanding how features are used, balanced against your rights.
- To communicate with you (contract and legitimate interests). Sending service messages, responding to support requests, and notifying you of important changes.
- Where required, with your consent. For any optional communications you opt into. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- To meet legal obligations. Where the law requires us to keep or disclose certain information.
3. Who sees your data
Within the platform
Projectport connects developers and advisors, so some data is shared by design: when a developer publishes a project, advisors in the network can see it; when an advisor shares a proposal, its recipients can see the content it contains; and engagement insight on a shared link is shown to the advisor who shared it and to the relevant developer. You control what you publish and share.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate contractual protections:
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- Supabase — database and authentication. Our database is hosted in Europe.
Legal and safety
We may disclose data if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use cookies that are necessary to run the Service, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your display currency preference. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because the cookies we set are essential to providing the Service, they are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering it to you.
5. International transfers
Our database is hosted in Europe. Some of our service providers may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it.
6. How long we keep data
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain information to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Engagement data is retained to provide insight over time and is removed when the related project or proposal is deleted.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. Under the GDPR these include the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Delete your data (the right to be forgotten);
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at goran.betterlife@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, encrypted password storage, and access controls. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
9. Children
Projectport is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
